“I booked us a family apartment (4 friends) after a bit of internet research for just a one night stay. The location – a short stroll north of Paihia in beautiful gardens and forest, set back from the sea – was perfect for a night in Paihia after a boat trip, and for visiting Waitangi Treaty Grounds the following morning. The apartment was modern, clean and nicely decorated – we enjoyed BBQing on the deck (there’s even a supermarket opposite to get supplies). The owners were welcoming and exceeded expectations – helping us get into town when we were having taxi trouble. I wished we could have stayed longer and would recommend without hesitation.”
